1st Time Visit
Hello and welcome to Skyhook! Our facility is geared towards people of all ages and athletic abilities, and we’re always excited to meet new members of our unique community. The purpose of this page to to inform you of all the things you need to know to have a great first visit.
Firstly, you’re going to want to fill out a Safety Waiver. If you are unsure if you have completed a waiver already or run into any issues while completing one, you can give us a call at 503-352-9608 or email us at infostaff@skyhookfitness.com and our front desk will assist as soon as possible.
After you’ve completed your waiver, you are able to login to Mindbody- the software we use for all of our scheduling. Whether it’s through the “Member Login” button on the website or on the Skyhook mobile app- this is where you’ll be able to sign up for classes, view the schedule, enroll in camps and more. If you are the parent/guardian enrolling a minor for classes, you’ll need to set up your Family Account. Doing so will allow you to manage your child schedule and view the available credits on their profile. Instruction to complete this can be found here.
How do we sign up for our first class?
After you’ve completed the steps noted above, you can get started by doing a Drop-In class or get signed up for an Introductory Week! Drop-in classes are $30 per person and can be used 1 time for a class or an open-gym. Introductory Weeks are a trial week where you have access to UNLIMITED classes and open-gyms for only $50! Both of these options can be purchased online once you get logged in, or you can give us a call/email to get setup.
What should I or my child wear to participate in class?
You’ll want to be sure to wear comfortable athletic clothing that will not restrict your ability to move. Additionally, shoes are required to be worn at all times on equipment with the ONLY exception being on the trampoline or as directed by a coach. We ask that you do not wear jewelry that may get caught on the equipment and/or result in injury (i.e. necklaces, rings, bracelets, dangly earrings, etc.)
When should we arrive for class?
If it’s you’re first time visiting Skyhook, we invite you to arrive around 20 minute before the start of your class. This way we can show you around the facility and answer any questions you may have. Otherwise, we just ask that you arrive a few minutes before the start of class to ensure that students are able to fully participate in the warm-up portion of class and prevent injury.
Can I or another family member try out obstacles while my child is in class?
Our policy is that guests are NOT allowed to be on any equipment unless you are actively partaking in class, and open-gym, or working with one of our personal trainers/coaches. This is a means of safety for all guests and to prevent injuries and inappropriate behavior while unsupervised. If there is something you would like to try out, please ask one of our front desk staff.
